Notary Services
Notarization for deeds, mortgage and refinance papers, transfer forms and landlord-tenant documents, at our office or by mobile visit.
Real estate transactions often involve documents that must be notarized before they can be recorded or accepted. Kay’s Notary Travel notarizes signatures on deeds, mortgage and refinance documents, affidavits, powers of attorney, transfer forms and landlord-tenant documents for clients in Brooklyn and across New York City.
Our role is limited to the notarization itself. We verify each signer’s identity, witness signatures, administer oaths where required and complete the notarial certificates. We do not conduct closings, provide title services, or give legal, tax or financial advice. Your attorney, lender or title company prepares the documents and is the right place to ask what they mean, how to fill them in or where they should be filed.
Real estate documents are often long, with several signature lines and pages to initial, so please allow enough time for your appointment. Bring the complete package along with any instructions from your attorney, lender or title company, and wait to sign until you’re with the notary. If it’s easier, our mobile notary service can meet you at your home or office in Brooklyn and nearby areas. Notary fees are set by New York law, and any travel fee is explained before you book.
Your attorney, lender or title company prepares the documents and tells you what needs to be notarized.
Schedule a visit to our Brooklyn office or request a mobile appointment, allowing extra time for longer packages.
Each signer shows a valid photo ID and signs in front of the notary.
The notary completes the required certificates. You then return the documents as your attorney, lender or title company instructs.
No. We notarize signatures only. Closings, title work and questions about your documents are handled by your attorney, lender or title company.
Our mobile notary service can often meet you at home or at your office in Brooklyn and nearby areas of New York City. Contact us to confirm availability, and please check first that your lender or title company allows you to use your own notary.
A notary who is not an attorney cannot explain the meaning or legal effect of a document. Please bring those questions to your attorney, lender or title company before your appointment.
Each person whose signature is being notarized must appear before the notary with their own valid photo ID. If signers can’t attend together, separate appointments can be arranged.
